NAB MARCONI RADIO AWARD PRESENTED TO WHUR-FM

CHARLOTTE — WHUR-FM Washington, DC was named Urban Station of the Year at the 2007 National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi Radio Awards. The awards were announced Thursday night at the annual NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show held at The NAB Radio Show in Charlotte.

The prestigious awards recognized radio’s outstanding personalities and stations in 21 categories. An independent task force of broadcasters selected the finalists and ballots were sent to members of the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy in August. The ballots were tabulated by an independent accounting firm.
