WHO/WHAT: 2024 BMI LONDON AWARDS

BMI®  is thrilled to be celebrating its top UK and European songwriters and publishers at the 2024 BMI London Awards, held on 9 December at The Savoy in London. Legendary songwriter, guitarist, and producer Graham Lyle will be honoured as a BMI Icon in celebration of his illustrious career spanning over 50 years and his enduring catalog of hit songs, which have left a lasting impression on generations of music lovers worldwide. The private event will be hosted by BMI President & CEO Mike O’Neill.

The ceremony also pays tribute to the UK and European songwriters and publishers of the previous year’s most-performed songs on US streaming, radio and television from BMI’s repertoire of over 22.4 million musical works. The Million-Air Awards, Song of the Year, and awards for Pop, Film, Television and Cable Television Music will also be presented throughout the evening.

In addition to Graham Lyle, some of the expected attendees include:

  • Modern English: Robbie Grey, Gary McDowell, Michael Conroy, Stephen Walker
  • Roxette: Per Gessle and Mats Persson
  • Mario Winans: GRAMMY Award-winning American singer/songwriter/producer best known for the R&B hit song, “I Don’t Wanna Know.”
  • Harissis and Luzian of Bass Charity: 4x GRAMMY nominated Swiss production team who has worked with Drake, PartyNextDoor, Bad Bunny, Bryson Tiller and more.
  • Jin Jin: Award-winning songwriter behind hits such as “Between Us” by Little Mix, “Pa’ Ti” by Jennifer Lopez x Maluma, “My Man” by Becky G and “Your Names Hurt” by Hailee Steinfeld. She’s also written songs for Jess Glynne, Jax Jones, Madison Beer, RAYE and Paloma Faith, among others.
  • Tom Howe: British composer and musician who composed for shows like The Great British Bake OffTed Lasso, and films like Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and KingsWonder WomanMulan.
  • Alan Glass: British songwriter who has written for Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Kenny G, Earth Wind and Fire, Shena Easton Lighthouse Family, Maxi Priest, George Benson, Liberty X, Mis-Teeq and more.
  • Hoskins: British producer who has worked with Khalid, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Teezo Touchdown, Don Toliver, Wiz Khalifa and Morgan Wallen, to name a few.
  • Ari PenSmith: British producer who has worked with Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Wizkid, Tyla, Doja Cat, Kaytranada and Burna Boy.
  • Samuel “Sammy SoSo” Awuku: British producer who has worked with Tyla, Wizkid, Kali Uchis, Omah Lay.
  • Eliot “Beat Butcha” Dubock: British producer who has worked with SZA, The Carters, Brent Faiyaz, Dreamville and Tyler, The Creator.
  • WhyTek (WhyJay and LiTek): British production duo who has worked on Central Cee, Aitch and FLO.
