2025 BMI Pop Awards – May 13 in Beverly Hills, California

The 2025 BMI Pop Awards will take place on Tuesday, May 13, at the iconic Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. This highly anticipated event will honor the songwriters and publishers behind the most-performed pop songs of the year, as well as celebrate outstanding achievements in the music industry.

One of the major highlights of the evening will be the presentation of the BMI Champion Award to GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Benson Boone. Known for his rise as a global musical sensation, Boone will be celebrated for his impressive career, which has earned him industry accolades and a devoted fanbase worldwide.

The 2025 BMI Pop Awards will also recognize the talented songwriters behind some of the year’s biggest hits. Among those in attendance will be Jessica Agombar, Benson Boone, D’Mile, Mikky Ekko, Earlonthebeat, Gregory ‘Aldae’ Hein, Honey Bxby, Carter Lang, Bonnie McKee, Michael Pollack, JP Saxe, David Stewart, and many more. These songwriters have contributed to chart-topping tracks such as “Beautiful Things,” “Dial Drunk,” “Die With a Smile,” “Lose Control,” “Saturn,” “Stargazing,” “Red Wine Supernova,” “Used to be Young,” and “Water,” showcasing their vital role in shaping the pop music landscape.

The private event will be hosted by a distinguished group of BMI executives, including BMI President & CEO Mike O’Neill, BMI Vice President, Creative, Worldwide Barbara Cane, VP, Creative, NY Samantha Cox, and VP, Creative, LA Tracie Verlinde. The evening promises to be a celebration of talent, creativity, and the impact that these songwriters and publishers continue to have on the music industry.

During the ceremony, BMI will honor the songwriters and publishers of the previous year’s most-performed pop songs in the United States, sourced from its vast repertoire of over 22.4 million musical works. In addition to the BMI Champion Award, the event will also unveil the recipients of the BMI Pop Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Publisher of the Year awards.
