Cox Media Group (CMG) Jacksonville Radio’s HOT 106.5 – WHJX gets even hotter on Monday, January 27th with the addition of the new afternoon-drive host Shawn Knight.
Knight is a consummate radio professional with many successes to date including a morning show at KMAJ-FM, Topeka, KS, and stints at KISX-FM, Tyler, Texas; WKZJ-FM, Columbus, Georgia; and WSRB FM, WPWX-FM, and WGCI FM Chicago, Illinois. Knight, a continuous learner, is also in the process of completing his degree from the prestigious Morehouse College.
“I am thrilled to have Shawn Knight on our team,” says Elroy Smith, CMG’s Director of Urban Content. “He is smart, creative, and has the experience to raise the bar at HOT 106.5. He brings a litany of experience to our team, and I anticipate Shawn evolving into a strong voice for the Duval County community.”

The new Hot 106.5 lineup will be 6-10 AM Rickey Smiley Morning Show, 10-3 PM JoJo, 3-7 PM Shawn Knight, 7 PM-12 AM Shelby Rushin.
