New leadership has been announced at Cox Media Group with industry veteran Paul Briggs taking the helm as vice president and general manager of Orlando TV.
In this role, Briggs will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all station departments and functions, including news, sales, marketing, production, programming, community affairs and more for WFTV and WRDQ. He brings over 20 years of broadcast experience to the company, including roles in Charlotte, Memphis, and Atlanta. Most recently, he served as the VP of content and broadcast operations for CMG Atlanta, overseeing the market’s TV, radio and newspaper brands.

Jason Meder will continue on as vice president and general manager of Orlando Radio. He was first hired at the company in 2002, serving as the director of sales in Tampa before assuming the role as general manager in Orlando in 2018. “The CMG Orlando radio team is a talent-rich group that I am fortunate to get to work with every single day. I am confident that our continued partnership with TV will yield even greater results as we forge ahead,” Meder stated.
