ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the world leader in public performing rights and advocacy for music creators, has promoted Deepak Mohite to Senior Vice President, Software Engineering within its Global Technology Solutions organization. Reporting to Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Tristan Boutros, Mohite will lead ASCAP’s engineering teams in product delivery, setting vision and strategy for software that supports ASCAP’s customer-facing web and mobile applications. He will also continue to drive modernization efforts across all ASCAP systems.
“ASCAP is focused on providing cutting edge, elegant product experiences for our members and our licensees, and creating new efficiencies by moving all of our internal software applications and systems to the cloud,” said Boutros. “Deepak has already brought energy, skill and leadership to these critical areas. He will be a strong addition to the GTS executive team while enabling our vision of a more automated and quality-first organization powered by the cloud.”
Mohite joined ASCAP in 2018 as VP, Infrastructure & Platform Services, partnering with departments across the organization to build best-in-class productivity services and platforms for ASCAP members and business stakeholders. He has over 20 years of technology experience ranging from infrastructure to application development. Mohite previously held senior technology roles at Tower Research Capital and The New York Times. He holds two masters degrees and multiple product and technology certifications from MIT.
