Kane Brown Celebrates 13th No. 1 Hit “Backseat Driver” at BMI Party

Kane Brown just notched his 13th No. 1 hit with “Backseat Driver,” proving once again why he’s country music’s most unstoppable force. BMI threw him a rooftop party in Nashville to celebrate the chart-topper, complete with songwriters Jordan Walker and Jacob Davis sharing the spotlight.

NASHVILLE, TN – Sept. 4, 2025 – BMI and Sony Music Nashville/RCA Nashville’s Kane Brown celebrated his 13th career No. One “Backseat Driver” with the Music Row community on the rooftop of BMI Nashville on Wednesday (9/03). Written by Jordan Walker (BMI) and Jacob Davis (ASCAP) and produced by Dann Huff, the introspective single from his album The High Road continues Brown’s hitmaker streak as it marks his eighth consecutive Country radio chart-topper.

Celebration Details

Hosted by BMI and ASCAP, Brown and the songwriters were surrounded by family and friends and each shared remarks. Championing the song’s sentiment, Walker was surprised by his family who traveled from Texas to celebrate his second No. One song. Davis thanked Brown from stage for bringing the song to life and shared some of his favorite stories in the car with his oldest daughter who inspired the song that was written five years ago.

Emceed by BMI’s MaryAnn Keen, Studio Bank’s Ron Cox made a special donation presentation on behalf of Brown and the songwriters in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Named “the future of country music” (Billboard), Multi-Platinum-selling, award-winning singer/songwriter Kane Brown “didn’t fit the country music mold. So he made his own.” (The New York Times). Brown recently announced the arrival of his fourth studio album and tour, The High Road.
