UNITED STATIONS TO PROVIDE LIVE CONCERT CONTENT TO FILL THE GAP LEFT BY CANCELED LIVE EVENTS

Two Live Music Series,” The Road” and” Live in Concert,” Offering Extra Live Music to Affiliates and ”No Commitment” Airings to Radio Stations on a First Come Basis

RadioFacts: United Stations, an independent leader in the creation and marketing of network radio programming, production, and technical services to radio stations, is pleased to be able to help fill the demand for live music by providing both extra live concert material through its affiliate lineups and by offering non –affiliates the opportunity to tap into its regularly scheduled live music series.   Details, which are outlined below, were made available by Andy Denemark, the company’s EVP/Programming and Stefan Jones, Senior VP/Content & Affiliation, both of whom are located at the company’s headquarters in New York.

The invitation to radio stations goes as follows… For starters, any radio station that is an affiliate of United Stations’ long-running live Country music series, THE ROAD, or an affiliate of the Classic Rock/Classic Hits live music series, LIVE IN CONCERT, will be given access to a stockpile of concert material from top artists in their respective formats in addition to the weekly series.   Secondly, any radio station that is not already affiliated with either program may request permission to broadcast the weekly two-hour live music shows without a contractual or commercial commitment for the months of April and May, and those requests will be fulfilled on a market exclusive, first-come first-served  basis.  Additionally, a series of quarantine-themed promos will be provided to help stations identify the need for concert material on the radio and promote tune-in.   Stations interested in info can reach out using [email protected] .

Regarding the open-door policy for live music that is provided to radio stations via this offering, Stefan Jones commented, “Clearly, life and how we experience entertainment is now altered for the foreseeable future.   Since in-person live music is not currently available, we felt that we should share our resources with radio stations so that our medium can do what it does best, engage audiences through unique content!”   The company’s Andy Denemark added, “These two programs have been popular with radio stations for years, but right now they actually can be used by radio stations to fill an unusual void in our culture and perhaps bring a little normalcy to the abnormal.”

The Road is a two-hour weekly live music series featuring original concert material recorded coast to coast by a team of talent acquisition executives and recording engineers working for United Stations.  Over the years, The Road has presented concert recordings from the biggest names in Country music, including George Strait, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift. The Road is now in its 26th year on the air, and the program continues to be heard coast to coast. Material from The Road can also be heard at USRN’s 24/7 live music streaming channel at www.countrymusicontheroad.com. Country programmer and air talent Steve Stewart from K-92 in Orlando serves as the host of the weekly radio show.

LIVE IN CONCERT is a two-hour weekly program that compiles some the best live recordings by the biggest stars in Classic Rock.   The show is presented in two mixes each week, one for harder-leaning Classic Rock stations and one for more mainstream Classic Rock/Classic Hits stations, and both versions are produced by Dave Robbins and Pineapple Productions and hosted by Lisa Berigan of WBIG-FM in Washington, SC.   The program was created in 2008 and been part of the United Stations lineup since 2010.
