And so the plot thickens. Turns out George Floyd and his murderer former police officer, Derek Chauvin worked at the same club for 17 years. There is BEYOND a good chance Chauvin KNEW Floyd as they crossed paths working different shifts at the company called El Nuevo Rodeo club on Lake Street, which is a Latin dance club.
Floyd was said to be depressed about the anniversary of his mother’s death on the day that he himself ended up being killed. He went into the store to buy cigarettes and the clerk who called the police on him said he wasn’t sure George knew the $20.00 was counterfeit. Of course, the guard didn’t expect Floyd to be killed over the incident. This makes the situation even more disgusting if the two knew each other for that amount of time. Did the former police officer have a vendetta against him?
