iHeartMedia Raleigh and iHeartMedia Charlotte announced today the incredible success of its holiday STUFF-A-BUS toy drives, collecting a combined total of 11,152 toys in just two weekends.
This joint effort marks a monumental moment for both communities, bringing joy and support to children and families this holiday season. On-air personalities from radio stations in both markets lived on a bus for 60 hours encouraging listeners to come out and donate.
iHeartMedia Raleigh’s third annual STUFF-A-BUS collected 7,518 toys for Toys for Tots. This remarkable achievement marks the single largest donation to the Triangle-area US Marines Toys for Tots program this year, making a lasting impact on children in the area.
In Charlotte’s inaugural event, the local community came together to collect 3,634 toys for Thompson Child and Family Focus, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and families in need. Over the course of the 60-hour campaign, listeners, businesses and volunteers made it their mission to spread holiday cheer to families across the region.
“The response from our communities in both Charlotte and Raleigh has been nothing short of incredible,” said Dave Carwile Region President for iHeartMedia Carolina Metro. “This achievement reflects the deep generosity and commitment of our listeners, sponsor and staff to making the holidays brighter for families in need. We are honored to be part of this meaningful effort.”
Toys for Tots and Thompson will distribute the toys to children in their respective areas, providing much-needed relief and happiness to families during the holiday season.
iHeartMedia extends heartfelt thanks to the listeners, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make this effort possible. Their generosity and dedication will ensure a brighter holiday season for thousands of children across North Carolina.
