The daylong event, curated by Hollywood & Mind founder Cathy Applefeld Olson, will return to the Beverly Hills campus of founding event sponsor UTA and gather thought leaders, artists, creatives, executives and advocates with a goal of sparking conversation and catalyzing action. Conversations this year include Reality Check: Prioritizing Wellbeing for Unscripted Talent; Uplifting Mental Health in the LGBTQ+ Community; Breaking Stereotypes & Redefining Masculinity; Evolving Backstage Care; and Elevating Wellbeing Through Movement & Creativity.
“As our mental health crisis continues, with one in four adults in the U.S. projected to experience a mental illness this year, our third Summit will again spotlight a range of timely topics and feature a diversity of voices,” said Applefeld Olson. “As always, our lens is on the ways people in the entertainment, sports and other industries of influence can break stigma and spur action in the culture and, equally, on paths to elevate the mental wellbeing of those who work in these industries.”
“The UTA Foundation is proud to return as the founding partner of the Hollywood & Mind Summit for the third year. We are deeply committed to the conversation around mental health and providing opportunities for our agents, clients, and colleagues industry-wide to come together and share meaningful insights,” said Rene Jones, partner & chief of social impact at UTA. “This year, we are continuing to support Cathy in cultivating a day of connection and programming with an incredible roster of executives, creatives and mental health professionals.”
