Randall King Joins Sony Music Publishing Nashville in Global Deal

Sony Music Publishing Nashville proudly welcomes West Texas native Randall King to its roster with a global publishing agreement. Hailed by Holler as “the genre’s neo-traditional figurehead,” King has garnered widespread acclaim for his authentic approach to country music.

With hit singles like “You In A Honky Tonk,” “Hey Cowgirl,” and “Mirror, Mirror,” King has solidified his position as one of country music’s most promising voices, accumulating over 300 million streams. His music embodies the rich traditions of the genre while infusing it with his own personal touch, as demonstrated in EPs like 2020’s Leanna and his major label debut album Shot Glass in 2022.

His sophomore major-label album, Into The Neon, released earlier this year, captures the essence of his West Texas roots and the vibrant energy of honky tonks. Critics have praised his ability to blend cosmic imagery with the gritty realism of roadside bars, earning accolades from publications like Nashville Lifestyles and Texas Monthly.

Expressing his excitement about the partnership, King said, “Can’t begin to say how excited I am to be joining Sony Music Publishing! It’s a new era of writing for me and I couldn’t have joined a better team!”

Featuring tracks co-written by SMP songwriters and artists such as Mitchell Tenpenny and Nate Smith, Into The Neon showcases King’s versatility as a songwriter and performer. As he continues to tour across the US and prepares for European dates later in 2024, King’s partnership with Sony Music Publishing Nashville marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his career.

Aubrey Landon, Director of Creative A&R at Sony Music Publishing Nashville, commented, “We are thrilled to champion Randall as he continues to bring a fresh take on traditional country music. His music resonates with authenticity, and we could not be happier to start this next chapter together
