Kita Alexander Inks Publishing Deal with Kobalt

Kobalt announced today that it has signed Australian singer/songwriter Kita Alexander to a worldwide exclusive publishing deal. The signing follows the release of Kita Alexander’s highly anticipated debut album YOUNG IN LOVE released last month via Warner Music Australia.

Kita Alexander Inks Publishing Deal with Kobalt

On signing to Kobalt, Kita commented: “I’m so excited to announce that I have just now signed my first ever publishing deal. I have been waiting the last almost 10 years for the right team to represent my music.

When I met with Kobalt and really understood their founding virtues it instantly made me want to join with them. I am so excited for this new adventure and cannot wait to see what Kobalt can do to try and help me further my career.”

Kobalt Music’s Head of Creative Services AU/NZ, Briese Abbott added, Kita is an exceptional songwriter who draws on deeply personal experiences to write broadly relatable and timeless songs.

Having already had success in dance and country collaborations, <a href="she’s evidence that when the songwriting is strong, there is no need for an artist to be bound by genre. We are very pleased to be a part of her team as <a href="she enters this critical next phase of her career.”

Kita’s manager Elise Naismith also commented, “As Kita’s manager, finding the right publishing home at this pivotal point in Kita’s career was so important. Kobalt stood out for their appreciation of her talent, potential and undeniable passion to work her catalogue.

With BrieseSimon and global team’s expertise, Kobalt is the perfect fit for Kita’s music in partnership with her worldwide management and label teams. This alignment celebrates both her past success and her promising future and I’m very excited to see what’s to come!”

Kita’s innate talent for songwriting has drawn comparisons to Taylor Swift with a pop-delivery akin to Dua Lipa.

Her impressive catalogue of acclaimed pop anthems has garnered over 240 million streams, including the 2 x ARIA Platinum single ‘Hotel’, Platinum singles ‘Between You & I’ and ‘Atmosphere’ – the latter a collaboration with Australian producer FISHER which landed at #14 on triple j’s 2023 Hottest 100 – as well as 2 x ARIA Gold singles ‘Damage Done’ and ‘Like You Want To’.

Today’s signing announcement continues to affirm the rise of Kita Alexander. In 2023, <a href="she released a string of new singles, sold out her debut headline tour, joined country superstar Morgan Evans as a special guest at his sold-out Sydney Opera House show and as aforementioned, collaborated with Australian producer FISHER.

In addition, Kita signed a worldwide management deal with Lemon Tree Music, home to Tash Sultana, Tones and I, Budjerah.

Having just released her debut album YOUNG IN LOVE to critical acclaim, all eyes are on rising star, Kita Alexander.
