The Industry Dot Biz: The Industry Dot Biz: Today, United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) President Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Americans for the Arts President and CEO Robert L. Lynch will present arts awards to leading elected officials and performing artists, during USCM’s 81st Annual Winter Meeting at the Capital Hilton.
Earlier in the day, New Orleans Mayor Mitchell Landrieu and Santa Fe Mayor David Coss, were presented with Public Leadership in the arts awards along with the Roots who were presented with a Citizen Artist Award.
The awards honor elected officials and artists who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the advancement of the arts. Americans for the Arts and The United States Conference of Mayors have given out the awards annually since 1997. Below are more details:

Grammy Award-Winning Musician John Legend (2013 Arts Advocate Award); and
New Orleans Mayor Mitchell Landrieu, Chair, USCM Tourism, Arts, Parks, Entertainment and Sports Standing Committee .
