Kylie Martin’s impressive career spans over 30 years in communications, publicity, and brand strategy. As the founder and director of Martini Media since 2010, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Kylie Minogue and Emma Watkins. Her decade-long involvement with the ARIA Awards further underscores her deep-rooted connections within the music industry. ​

Driving AMPAL’s Vision Forward

In her new capacity at AMPAL, Martin will oversee a broad spectrum of initiatives, including communications, event coordination, sponsorships, and enhancing the association’s digital presence. Her extensive background positions her uniquely to champion and elevate the music publishing sector. ​

Leadership’s Enthusiastic Endorsement

AMPAL’s CEO, Damian Rinaldi, expressed his excitement about Martin’s appointment, stating, “We feel incredibly fortunate to have someone of Kylie’s remarkable pedigree ready to energise AMPAL.” He highlighted her exceptional work ethic during her tenure with prominent record labels and anticipates a similar impact within the music publishing industry.

She expressed gratitude towards Music Australia for facilitating this role through its Core Contribution Funding scheme, acknowledging their support in making her “dream role a reality.” ​

AMPAL’s Legacy and Leadership

Established in 1956, AMPAL represents over 50 music publishers, accounting for more than 90% of the economic value of the music publishing sector in Australasia. The association recently underwent leadership changes, with Damian Rinaldi stepping in as CEO on July 1, 2024, succeeding Matthew O’Sullivan. Additionally, Clive Hodson was elected as chair of AMPAL and the Australasia and Asia global regional board of ICMP, with Karen Hamilton serving as deputy chair.
