iHeartMedia Philadelphia’s 105.3 WDAS FM, Power 99, and Rumba 106.1 are excited to announce the eighth annual “Sista Strut” breast cancer walk, proudly presented by Novartis and Rand Spear the Accident Lawyer. Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 21, at the Wells Fargo Center parking lot, kicking off at 8 a.m. This impactful event benefits the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the leading organization dedicated to accelerating cancer research and breakthroughs.
Breast cancer disproportionately affects African American women at younger ages, making “Sista Strut” a vital platform to raise awareness about early screenings and provide essential community resources, particularly for women of color. The walk is a celebration of resilience — honoring survivors, their families, and everyone touched by this disease.
Join favorite voices from iHeartMedia’s stations, including Frankie Darcell, Patty Jackson, Mimi Brown, Loraine Ballard Morrill, Roxy Romeo, Cappuchino, and Johanny, who will be onsite to energize the crowd and share important messages about breast cancer awareness.
Derrick Corbett, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Philadelphia, shares, “Sista Strut is a movement of strength, sisterhood, and survival. We’re proud to walk alongside women and families affected by breast cancer, especially in communities where early detection can be lifesaving. This year marks our eighth walk with purpose, power, and pride.”
AACR CEO Margaret Foti adds, “Partnering for the eighth year, we continue to spotlight the critical importance of breast cancer screening and treatment in Philadelphia and beyond.”
Listeners and fans are encouraged to join the conversation and show their support by sharing photos and videos on social media using #cantstopthestrut.
iHeartMedia remains the heartbeat of Philadelphia’s media scene, connecting communities through its radio stations, live events, and digital platforms — including iHeartRadio, the free, all-in-one app for music, podcasts, and live radio streaming, accessible on thousands of devices.
Come walk with us on June 21 and be part of this powerful journey toward awareness, support, and hope.
