**Operation: Cozy Kicks Off in Detroit: Help Keep Our Community Warm This Winter**
Detroit, MI – A city-wide initiative aimed at keeping residents warm this winter officially kicks off today as Operation: Cozy launches at 6 a.m. The campaign invites local community members to participate in a heartwarming effort to collect new or like-new winter essentials, including gloves, hats, and scarves, helping to ensure that no child or adult has to face the cold without proper gear.
With winter fast approaching, the need for warm clothing has never been more urgent, especially in a city known for its frigid winters. Operation: Cozy aims to address this pressing need by rallying the community to donate items that will directly benefit those less fortunate. “Every item counts, and your generosity can make a world of difference,” said community organizer Lisa Thompson. “We are determined to ensure that every Detroiter stays warm and cozy this winter.”
Individuals and families are encouraged to drop off their donations at designated collection points throughout the city, with more than 50 locations participating this year. Each donation helps support local shelters and community organizations that serve vulnerable populations.
In conjunction with the collection drive, a series of events and activities will take place throughout the day to raise awareness and encourage participation. Local schools, businesses, and community centers are joining forces, making this not just a campaign, but a unified movement focused on compassion and community spirit.
Don’t miss your chance to make a difference! Step up, go 4 it, and contribute to Operation: Cozy today. Because together, we can keep Detroit warm, one item at a time. For more information and to find drop-off locations, check out our website or social media channels.
