**Go! Operation: Cozy Kicks Off in Detroit to Keep the Community Warm This Winter**

Detroit, MI – As temperatures begin to dip, the spirit of giving is heating up in Detroit. Today marks the launch of Go! Operation: Cozy, a community-driven initiative aimed at providing warmth to those in need throughout the city. The campaign officially kicked off at 6 a.m. on November 12, urging residents to come together to ensure that everyone has access to essential winter gear.

From new hats and scarves to gloves and mittens, Go! Operation: Cozy seeks donations of new or gently used winter apparel to keep both children and adults cozy during the harsh Michigan winter. The initiative, which runs through the end of the month, encourages individuals and families to clear out their closets and contribute to a worthy cause.

“Helping our neighbors stay warm this winter is a community effort,” said organizer Sarah Thompson. “Every pair of gloves, every hat, and every scarf can make a difference in the lives of those who may not have the resources to stay warm.”

Donations can be dropped off at several designated locations across the city, including schools, community centers, and participating businesses. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with collections and provide information about how you can get involved.

In the spirit of the season, the campaign also invites those interested in volunteering to help sort and distribute the donated items. “There’s nothing like the feeling of giving back,” Thompson added.

As Detroit prepares for a long winter ahead, it’s time to come together and support one another. So, let’s go 4 it! Join Go! Operation: Cozy today, and help keep our community warm this winter. For more details, check out the video coverage on our website.
