Commerce Township, MI – In a tragic incident, Francesk Shkambi, 44, the beloved manager of the Prime 7 restaurant in Oakland County, was shot and killed late Sunday night. The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. on November 16, 2025, prompting an immediate response from local authorities.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots at the popular dining establishment located on Cooley Lake Road. Eyewitness accounts describe a scene of chaos and confusion as patrons sought shelter and staff attempted to manage the crisis. Emergency services arrived swiftly, but despite their efforts, Shkambi was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation unfolded quickly, leading to a 65-year-old man from Farmington Hills turning himself in to the police approximately 20 minutes following the shooting. Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name, but they confirmed he is currently in custody and being questioned regarding the incident. No charges have been filed as the investigation is ongoing.

Shkambi was well known and respected in the community, having dedicated years to building Prime 7 into a popular destination for locals. The restaurant, now left in mourning, has received an outpouring of condolences from patrons and friends alike, who are grappling with the loss of a beloved figure.
