UAB Football Post-Game News

In an emotional afternoon at Legion Field, the UAB Blazers faced a tough loss against the South Florida Bulls, concluding their home season with mixed emotions. However, during the post-game news conference, coaches and players emphasized the resilience of their team and their unwavering support for each other, reflecting on the memorable Senior Day.

Head Coach Bill Clark, addressing the media, expressed pride in his team’s effort despite the 28-21 defeat. “We fought hard out there today,” Clark stated. “Our seniors have poured their hearts into this program, and while today didn’t end the way we hoped, their contributions will forever be part of UAB football’s legacy.”

Senior quarterback Tyler Johnston, visibly emotional, spoke about the special bond he shares with his teammates and fans. “This game means everything to us,” Johnston remarked. “We played for each other and for our fans who have stood by us. The support we received today was incredible, and we will use this experience to come back even stronger.”

Amidst the disappointment, the Blazers take pride in the growth they’ve shown throughout the season. Defensive captain Darius Williams highlighted the importance of teamwork, stating, “Every player in that locker room is committed to this program. We are not defined by one game; we are defined by our passion and dedication.”

The Blazers now turn their focus to their next challenge, aiming to channel the spirit of Senior Day into future victories. With a supportive fan base behind them, UAB football remains optimistic as they look ahead.
