Press Play

ABC News Radio presents “Press Play,” hosted by entertainment correspondent Jason Nathanson. The three-hour special delves into how Americans are having fun this summer as the country begins to reopen.  Nathanson, with other correspondents, explore how people are entertaining themselves through the shows they’re watching, the music they’re listening to and the activities they’re doing. In addition, “Press Play” highlights America’s most rapidly growing sport—Pickleball—and introduces listeners to some of its biggest fans. The special also features musicians who are finally able to reunite and play music together after the past year of social distancing.

Forty on the Fourth,” presented by Speakeasy and hosted by ABC Audio’s Matt Wolfe, spotlights music from iconic and influential albums turning 40 this year. The featured albums and music were released in 1981 — an impactful year for many artists and bands. Artists include Journey, The Go-Go’s, The Rolling Stones, The Police, Joan Jett and many more. The special will also include the artists and experts reflecting on the music that altered their careers.

Country star Chase Rice hosts “Front & Center’s Fourth Of July Happy Hour.” The special pays tribute to some of country music’s greatest drinking songs, with insights from the country superstars who sing them, including Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town and more.
