CHICAGO ““Pioneering multichannel webcaster AccuRadio.com has brought on veteran Urban radio programmer Barbara Prieto, founder Kurt Hanson and COO John Gehron announced today. She will program and market “AccuRadio R&B,” the company’s new selection of Urban and R&B music.
Prieto comes to AccuRadio with a solid background in major-market commercial radio programming, with her experience in the “˜80s and “˜90s including stints at legendary Urban stations WGCI/Chicago (as Music Director and Assistant Program Director) and WKYS/Washington, D.C. (as Assistant Program Director and later as Program Director).
“I am excited to bring my music and programming skills to Internet radio,” Prieto said. “It’s a great opportunity to break new music and give expose to deserving talent. A music programmer needs to find the right product, win the listeners’ respect, and keep them listening.”
“AccuRadio R&B” features a dozen different personalizable channels of hit Urban music.
