In 1994 Joe Nathan James killed his ex-girlfriend, Faith Hall. This Thursday, he’s scheduled for execution by lethal injection. Rep. Juandalynn Givan has submitted a letter to Gov. Kay Ivey, Alabama’s governor, per the daughter’s request to stop the execution.
Terralyn Hall and her sister forgave James and want him to spend his life in prison instead of being executed. So far, no answer from the governor.
The victim had dated James for a short period until he became obsessed with her, broke into her apartment, and shot her three times after pulling a gun out of his waistband. Faith was 26 when she was killed.
UPDATE: The appeal has been denied, he is scheduled to be executed on Thursday.
