  • July 13-14: At around 2 AM on Tramway, a 19-year-old and his 18-year-old friend were caught stealing a bait car. The duo attempted to drive off with the vehicle but was soon apprehended.
  • July 15: A 17-year-old, armed with a gun, took a bait car for a joyride through Central Albuquerque. The vehicle was recovered, and the suspect was arrested.
  • July 16: Another bait car sting resulted in the arrest of Dakota Helmick and an unnamed accomplice who were caught with a gun in their possession.
  • July 17: Three additional suspects—Albert Ramirez, Evelyn Salas, and Randy Gallegos—were arrested for thefts involving bait cars.

  • July 18: A 19-year-old, Jordan Marquez, and his accomplice Josiah Arvizu were caught after Marquez was seen performing donuts with a bait car. Arvizu managed to escape in another vehicle, and an arrest warrant is currently out for him.
