Superadio’s “Amplified Voices” A New Era Of Black Storytelling

In today’s rapidly changing broadcast landscape, Superadio and the American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) stand as the most innovative forces in syndication. They’re not just adapting to the future, they’re creating it. From radio to podcasting to streaming television, this is a company that continues to expand what syndication means for modern audiences and creators. With the launch of Amplified Voices, Superadio and AURN are once again setting the standard for growth and innovation in broadcasting. We’re proud to be part of an organization that continues to lead the industry with vision, creativity, and an unshakable commitment to progress.

Kevin Ross: What inspired Superadio to launch Amplified Voices as a hub for Black culture and storytelling, and what was the vision behind its development?

Eric Faison: Amplified Voices was born out of the need to create a platform where Black creators, journalists, and visionaries could tell their own stories, unfiltered and authentic. The vision was to build a space that connects generations, highlights cultural excellence, and expands the definition of what Black media can be across both audio and video, with our existing lineup of talent and partnerships with new content creators.

KR: Can you describe the criteria used to select the slate of initial shows and personalities featured on Amplified Voices TV and the podcast network?

EF: We looked for content that’s original, credible, and connected to the culture, creators who bring both a point of view and a following. Whether it’s politics, business, entertainment, or lifestyle, the goal was to feature diverse voices that represent the depth of the Black experience while being entertaining and commercially viable.

KR: How does Amplified Voices differentiate itself from other digital platforms focused on Black audiences?

EF: Amplified Voices bridges radio, podcasting, and streaming television under one brand. Unlike other platforms, we come from an organization that has presented and reported on Black culture for many years with direct roots in radio, giving us built-in access to personalities and audiences that already trust us. It’s where authenticity meets innovation.

KR: What role do AVTV’s FAST and AVOD channels play in expanding content access for viewers, and how did you choose those specific platforms for launch?

EF: FAST and AVOD give us reach and accessibility, they allow audiences to engage with the content for free, anytime, anywhere. We initially chose platforms like Roku, DistroTV, and Watchie TV because they allow us to build out and present high-quality, Black-driven storytelling. There are more platforms to come.

KR: How will Superadio and AURN collaborate on content acquisition, sales, and marketing for Amplified Voices to maximize impact?

EF: Superadio brings decades of syndication, talent acquisition and affiliate relations expertise, while AURN (American Urban Radio Networks) brings sales infrastructure and cultural credibility. Together, we’re creating a powerful ecosystem, developing, distributing, and monetizing content across radio, podcasts, and streaming.

KR: What are your goals for audience engagement and growth within the first year of Amplified Voices’ launch?

EF: Our goal is to establish Amplified Voices as a trusted destination for authentic Black storytelling, targeting one million monthly viewers or listeners across our combined platforms within year one, while building strategic brand partnerships and growing our content library.

KR: How do you see Amplified Voices shaping the broader conversation about “controlling the narrative surrounding Black experiences” in media?

EF: We’re giving creators ownership and visibility, that’s how you change the narrative. Amplified Voices is about moving from reaction to authorship, ensuring Black stories are told with context, creativity, and pride.

KR: What measures will be taken to ensure diverse and authentic representation of Black voices in both audio and video programming?

EF: Our team prioritizes inclusivity across gender, region, and generation. From HBCU partnerships to spotlighting emerging filmmakers, our curation process ensures every corner of the culture is seen and heard.

KR: Can you share any plans for future content expansion or partnership opportunities on Amplified Voices?

EF: We’re building out categories in documentaries, lifestyle, and news commentary, while opening the door for partnerships with independent producers, brands, and creators. The long-term plan includes live events, branded content, and international collaborations.

KR: What key metrics will you use to measure the success of Amplified Voices for both creators and audiences?

EF: Success is measured by reach, impact, and equity, audience growth, creator earnings, brand partnerships, and cultural relevance. If we’re creating opportunities and ownership for Black creators while entertaining and informing audiences, we’re winning.
