Another Man Sues Sean “Diddy” Combs for Alleged Oral Sexual Assault

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned hip-hop mogul, is facing a lawsuit from an aspiring male singer identified as John Doe, who alleges that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted him in 2015. The lawsuit, filed by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee in New York County Supreme Court, seeks damages for the emotional and physical distress Doe claims to have suffered.

The Incident

John Doe, then 23 years old, was pursuing a music career and had reportedly received multiple invitations to perform alongside well-known artists. The alleged assault occurred at an after-party in Los Angeles after Combs attended Doe’s performance at QC’s 20/20 nightclub, where he had expressed interest in signing Doe to a record deal with Bad Boy Records.

Promises of Opportunity

Before the performance, a longtime associate of Combs informed Doe that Combs would be watching him and that a successful performance could lead to a record deal and studio time with the hip-hop icon.

The Alleged Assault

After the performance, Doe attended the after-party, where he encountered a party atmosphere filled with drugs and alcohol. Combs allegedly sent Doe a drink made with his vodka brand, Ciroc. After consuming the drink, Doe quickly felt lightheaded and lost consciousness.

While in and out of consciousness, Doe claims to have witnessed Combs and others engaging in sexual activities with attendees who appeared to be drugged or unconscious. He later woke up to find Combs groping him and believes that Combs had performed oral sex on him during the encounter.

Threats and Escape

Doe alleges that when he attempted to resist Combs’ advances, the music mogul threatened him, claiming he could ruin his career in the music industry. To escape the situation, Doe feigned compliance, stating he needed to use the restroom, and then left the venue without reporting the incident due to fears of being blackballed.

Legal Proceedings

The lawsuit names Combs and several of his companies, including Bad Boy Records and Daddy’s House Recordings, accusing them of enabling Combs’ alleged misconduct through inadequate policies to prevent sexual battery. Doe is seeking damages for pain, mental anguish, and emotional torment, stating that the assault derailed his career aspirations and left him disillusioned with the music industry.

Combs’ Response

In response to the allegations, Combs’ legal team has expressed confidence in the judicial process, asserting that he has never sexually assaulted anyone. Combs remains in custody following previous arrests related to racketeering and sex trafficking charges, with his trial scheduled to begin on May 5.

Conclusion

The lawsuit filed by John Doe against Sean “Diddy” Combs underscores serious issues of power dynamics and misconduct within the music industry. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for both Combs and the broader conversation about accountability and support for victims in the entertainment world.
