Radio Facts: I like watching Anthony Bourdain’s show Parts Unknown. Food shows are a challenge because you can’t taste what they are eating but Bourdain takes it a step further by going to some of the most unexpected worldwide destinations and combining great conversations while eating foods from various cultures. From the onset, he comes off as an experienced food pro with decades of experience coupled with a cool, laid-back former rock star rebel persona that makes him likable and relatable to all ages. Nevertheless, there is a darker previous side to the TV star that you may not know. He’s a former drug addict who pretty much was a hopeless chef in NY making french fries when something that he did, just for the hell of it, completely changed his life at the age of 44. He had low self-esteem, no confidence and was deeply in debt and without a plan or preparation for anything greater, but he did something I have talked about on this site repeatedly over the years. He improved his odds by 50% by just asking for something. This is probably one of the most inspirational stories I’ve ever heard and I wanted to share this with you.
