This week on SiriusXM’s Symphony Hall, Anthony McGill, Principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic is back to curate another edition of Living American. This time he is joined by his brother Demaree McGill, Principal flute of the Seattle Symphony.

Anthony McGill, the first-ever African American Principal player of the New York Philharmonic, has posted a powerful musical protest video in a demonstration against the death of George Floyd and historic racial injustice, sparking a movement as artists and citizens amplify and respond to the protest using the hashtag #TakeTwoKnees. The two brothers will be talking about this movement and presenting music by Valerie Coleman, Jessie Montgomery, Nathalie Joachim and Tania Leon.
