Apple TV+ Hosts Exclusive Surface Screenings in Atlanta, LA, DC (Photos & Video)

ONE/35 Agency partnered with The Gathering Spot to host exclusive screenings of Apple TV+’s Surface Season 2 in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Washington, DC. These events provided a sneak peek of the first two episodes of the thrilling series that explores themes of identity, self-discovery, social hierarchy, power dynamics, and moral dilemmas.

In Washington, DC, political strategist Donna Brazile moderated a panel discussion on “The Power of Self-Discovery in Black Womanhood” and “Building Solidarity, Black Women Uniting Against Elite Power Structures,” featuring Karen Finney and A’shanti F. Gholar. Guests enjoyed Whimsy Cakes’ branded cupcakes and custom fragrance creations by B Parfums, paired with signature cocktails.

Atlanta’s screening at The Gathering Spot ATL featured a Galentine’s Day-themed celebration with cupcakes from On & Poppin, unique fragrances from My Signature Scents, and cocktails. A panel discussion, hosted by Kathleen Bertrand of the BronzeLens Film Festival, included Elon Johnson of Tyler Perry Studios and actress-director Reece Odum, exploring how storytelling can better represent women beyond the male perspective.

In Los Angeles, the Surface screening, hosted by E! News’ Francesca Amiker, saw the theater packed with guests who enjoyed custom perfumes from These Hands Makers Collective, branded cupcakes from Cherry On Top Cake, and light bites.

Set in London, Surface Season 2 follows Sophie (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) as she seeks answers about her past, after an injury leaves her with memory loss. She navigates elite British society, uncovering dangerous secrets and a shocking scandal.

Produced by Apple Studios, Surface is created by Veronica West, who also serves as executive producer and showrunner. Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter executive produce for Hello Sunshine, with Mbatha-Raw starring and executive producing. Season 2 is directed by Ed Lilly, Lynsey Miller, Jon East, and Alrick Riley.
