The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is pleased to announce its lineup of events at the 27th annual South by Southwest (SXSW) Music and Media Conference and Festival being held March 8th-17th, 2013 in Austin, TX.

Each year, ASCAP’s high-profile showcases are a highlight of the festival, attracting capacity crowds and music industry heavyweights who come to see some of the best emerging singer-songwriters and bands from both across the country and overseas. In addition to staging its popular Pop/Rock “ASCAP Presents”¦at SXSW” showcases, ASCAP will partner with BET to present the first-ever Music Matters, powered by Yahoo!

SXSW Showcase, as well as participate in official SXSW music panel discussions, host its annual boat rides and sponsor many other exciting showcases and parties to highlight the best and brightest in music, including the Radio Day Stage, Brooklyn Vegan Day Parties and Filter Magazine’s Showdown at Cedar Street. A partial schedule of ASCAP events at SXSW 2013 is included below. For more details, please visit www.ascap. com/sxsw.
