I personally, as the last generation of baby boomers, don’t have to ever hear another old school song again. I’m just sick of that sh… (laugh). Groove 105.7 is said to play all disco and hip hop music from the 70s through today. Could disco and vintage hip hop music have a new generation of fans? Time will tell. I always say a station is only as strong as the Radio DJs. The Radio DJ is the star who sells the product. If the station hires a group of 20 year old Radio DJs for this format…they are already at a loss.

FINALLY!!! i moved here from N.Y. & i was like, the radio here sucks!!! its either country, rap crap, or noise,… aren’t there any old school dance stations here?? i came across your station the other day & i said FINALLY!!! NOW don’t MESS it up by adding too much of todays music in it, like black eyed peas, & such or rap! keep it old school!! they have other stations for those newer artists, or so called artists…now we have a KTU LIKE IN N.Y. !!! YES!!!!!!!
I completely agree with Flex above. ktu in nyc rocks. old skool stations here playing too much rnb love songs and nothing upbeat throughout the day. radio does suck here. the last thing this city needs is another outlet for current hip hop!!! so far this station is playing the same deal as q-100, star 94 and even a little b-98. BTW enough of beyonce, kelly clarkston bep/fergie or JT. PLAY MORE 90s DANCE club HITS AND 80s 90s latin freestyle, less current top 40 and even some miami booty bass. just make it fun like a party, mix it up and be less unpredictable. this big city deserves better radio stations, but only time will tell. geez come on A-T-L, what the hell!!!
Totally agree with Flex. This city has so damn many hip-hop stations it’s enough to make you puke. (News flash: some of us couldn’t give a shit about the latest Little-(insert inanity here) or Snoop-whatever…) A good, old-school dance station is just what Atlanta needed!
I heard a song Wednesday,but I had to go somewhere so I turned off the radio.I tuned to this station again,of which I knew used to be another format,so I’m pleasantly surprised at what I hear.
I couldn’t put my finger on the genre until I read the other comments and I figured it out! This an old school dance station with a little bit of today mixed in and I like that!
As others wrote,I hope it stays mainly old school dance but with a little sprinkle of today mixed in…….I’m familiar with all the songs and while I have a lot of the music,it’s refreshing to hear stuff that you don’t hear ALL THE TIME!
At times I radio surf and I’m telling you,I can go to certain stations and hear the same song atleast twice an hour! There are two artists that seem to be on all the same songs!
I like this station and I have it automatically tuned on all my devices in the car and in my home.
I grew up in Atlanta and have listened to my share of radio here. I agree with Davidson, this radio station makes me happy and keeps me looking forward to the next play. Seriously, whoever thought we could hear Prince (Erotic City) or Michael Jackson (PYT) or Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam or New Edition, Bell Biv Devoe, or early Madonna again! I LOVE it. It’s old school for Gen X. Thank you for finally bringing something fun back to Atlanta.
FINALLY! I agree with Flex and Scott 150%…It would also be great to hear the freestyle dance, I love KTU for playing those and listen to them online, but now I can get a fix by listening to Groove!!

If the Hip Hop R and B Neo Soul music is worth listening to, it will be played on existing radio stations for that market.
