Lanre Gaba has been promoted to Co-President, Black Music for Atlantic Records. The highly respected executive, who celebrates her 20th anniversary with the label this year, was most recently Atlantic’s General Manager/Executive Vice President of Black Music A&R. In her new post, Gaba will work alongside Co-President, Black Music Mike Kyser. Based at Atlantic’s New York headquarters,

Since joining Atlantic, Gaba has climbed the ranks, with her role evolving to encompass A&R, marketing, strategic planning, finance, and the label’s recording studio operations.
During her tenure at the company, Billboard Executive of the Week and honored on the magazine’s Change Agents list for her advocacy efforts toward racial justice and social change.
