Radio Facts: American Urban Radio Networks, the largest African American owned radio network company in the country, today announced that it has partnered with SupeRadio, one of the premiere syndicators and providers of radio programming, to represent its urban product and services to the advertising community. Some of SupeRadio’s most popular programs include: “Back Spin Weekend “with Spinderella (of Salt N’ Pepa fame) and “Kissing After Dark” with Lenny Green live evenings 7 p.m.-12 midnight from the studios of WRKS-FM in New York.
“Obviously we’re delighted to add SupeRadio’s wide array of urban programming to our already formidable program lineup,” said Jerry Lopes, President of Program Operations & Affiliations for AURN. “It clearly strengthens our position as the number one provider of urban programming in the world,” said Lopes.
In addition to the “Kissing After Dark” and “Back Spin Weekend” other SupeRadio offerings include “Gossip on the Go” with Flo Anthony, “Café Mocha” with MC Lyte, talk programs, weekend inspirational programs and a number of urban adult and young end mix shows.
“We will be creating a new, fourth Radar rated network” (AURN Elite) said Howard Eisen, Executive Vice President of Sales for AURN. “We believe with the addition of the AURN Elite Network we will be able to increase our presence in the marketplace and provide our clients with additional opportunities for reaching African American consumers. The AURN “Elite” Network will offer five minutes of premium inventory weekly,” said Eisen.
