“The Drew Show” was dropped last Monday. Host Drew Steele, along with co-host Crista and sidekick Robert “Skittles” Kent, were let go.
A new show is scheduled to debut this morning in the 6 to 10 a.m. slot. It’s called “The Wild Bunch Morning Show.” It will be hosted by disc Radio DJey Jason “Big Mama” Jones, who is moving from nights on “New Rock 99X” to the morning gig on B103.9.
“We’re really excited for the frenzy that ‘Mama’ brings,” said Matt Johnson, programming director for 99X and B103.9.
SKITTLES ON ‘WHEEL’ TONIGHT
While he may have lost his job last week, fired B103.9 morning show sidekick Kent still has something to be excited about – his appearance tonight on the popular game show “Wheel of Fortune.”
Kent flew to Los Angeles back in November to appear on the show. He’s been sworn to secrecy on how he fared, but word is he made some cool cash.
B103 was going to have a viewing party for Kent tonight and invite fans to come out and cheer him on. In light of what happened last week, those plans have been canned.
“Wheel of Fortune” airs at 7 p.m. on NBC2.
