Beloved radio personality Eddie One returns to LA radio

Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. (the “Company” or “SBS”) (OTC: SBSAA), the nation’s largest Hispanic-owned and targeted media and entertainment entity announced that the heavy hitter is back! Eddie Mendoza, the beloved radio personality known as “DJ Eddie One” returns home to Spanish Broadcasting System’s KXOL Mega 96.3 FM, the same radio station where he started his radio career in 2006. He will host the 3-7 P.M. (PST) weekday afternoon drive time slot. Eddie will also be responsible for programming duties as the radio station’s Music Director with “La Vibra de Los Angeles.” (The Vibe of LA).

Eddie One is the original “Dreamer”, he was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador and arrived in the United States as a war refugee at the age of 11. Eddie didn’t know one word of English when he moved to Los Angeles, California. He quickly went from war refugee to US Citizen, to hosting the afternoon drive on the leading reggaeton/urban radio station, Mega 96.3 FM in Los Angeles.

“Eddie One is the DJ, entertainer and content creator who will take our radio game (Mega 96.3FM) to the next level,” said Albert Rodriguez, President and COO of Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS), “His tremendous success across entertainment and music is testimony of his unique talent, work ethic and impeccable reputation.” Albert concluded, “Eddie One is the absolute right talent for afternoons in Mega 96.3FM- this is an incredible match and we’re fortunate to have him on our family!”

Mega 96.3FM, Sr VP of West Coast Programming, Juan Carlos Hidalgo said, “Eddie One is that fresh sound we were looking for on Mega 96.3FM. Eddie is an incredible entertainer who embodies Latinx, reggaeton-urban culture, music, and community all in one! We are very excited to have him back on our team.”

Eddie always hustled. He started as a club promoter in high school, handing out promotional fliers for events. In 2000, he launched West Coast Street Promotions & Record Pool. He was hired by Universal Music, Columbia Records, Interscope, Priority Records, Sony, Epic and No Limit to promote their artists, events, and projects.

In 2004, Eddie joined the infamous “Heavy Hitters” DJ Crew, which raised his profile and landed him jobs all over Southern California & Satellite Radio. Eddie has hosted and DJ’d at concerts for Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Don Omar, J Balvin and Pitbull. He has performed live radio broadcasts from the Latin Music Awards and Premios Billboard a la Musica Latina in previous years. Eddie is currently the official DJ for the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) home soccer matches and regional events.

Eddie is passionate about soccer. He started a non-profit youth soccer team called Titans SC under the umbrella of his non-profit LA Soccer Organization. In addition to music and soccer, Eddie is a total Southern California suburban family man. He is the father of twins (boy and a girl) and a baby boy and has a dog named DJ.
