Health Exams and Cognitive Tests
President Joe Biden recently addressed questions about his cognitive health during a press conference. He confirmed that he undergoes cognitive testing daily as part of his job and has taken three significant and intense neurological exams by neurologists as recently as February. According to these exams, he is in good shape.
Physical Health
Biden mentioned a minor issue with his left foot, which is less sensitive due to a previous injury where he broke his foot and did not wear a boot. However, he assured that this does not impact his overall health.
Cognitive Capacity and Decision Making
Biden emphasized that his cognitive capacity is tested daily through the decisions he makes. He cited examples of significant initiatives, such as his efforts to improve relations between South Korea and Japan and his push for advancements in chip manufacturing. He stated that age can bring wisdom if one pays attention, implying that his experience benefits his decision-making.
Willingness to Undergo Further Testing
The President expressed his willingness to undergo additional neurological exams if recommended by his doctors. He highlighted his transparency, having laid out all his health records, and reiterated that he would follow medical advice if further testing was deemed necessary. However, he also noted that no one is currently suggesting he needs another exam.
Transparency and Public Perception
Biden acknowledged that regardless of his actions, some people might remain unsatisfied with the extent of his health disclosures. He stated that he is not opposed to further testing if his doctors recommend it, but stressed that his current health assessments show no need for additional exams.
