SHOOT TO TAKE PLACE MONDAY JANUARY 21 IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA CEMETERY!
“My homie lonely homie walking and we talking for sure And I’m gonna be with him in the end when forgiveness no more And ‘member the words can’t hurt me how can I be worthy When I feel so damn dirty dirty”
— Bizzy Bone from “A Song For You”
BIZZY BONE and DMX, two of hip-hop‘s most distinctive voices and most enduring personalities, will trade close-ups on January 21 when they turn a Phoenix, Arizona cemetery into a video set for the shooting of the video for BIZZY BONE’S new single, “A Song For You.”The song, which is a collabo with DMX, is the second release from BIZZY’s album of the same name, due March 25.
Video director Ethan Lader describes the concept of the shoot: “The passion, the power, the pain will be brought to life through this video,”he says. “It’s about vibe, mood, and imagery. We will journey with BIZZY BONE as he travels through a prolific cemetery; a cemetery that has all the fallen soldiers of our hip-hop community buried together, united together. The vibe throughout is one of hope and strength.”A SONG FOR YOU is BIZZY’S first release for Phoenix, Arizona-based After Platinum Records. The CD also features an eclectic array of talent, including Good Charlotte, Trina, X-Man, Jim Jones, Twista, and After Platinum artist Chris Notez, who joins BIZZY on “A Song For You,”a poignant track that includes an interpolation of Donny Hathaways’s original recording of the same name. The single will be available on iTunes, AOL Music and other digital outlets starting January 15.
