The BMI Music Stage at Lollapalooza returned for its seventeenth year this weekend and featured twenty-four of today’s best up-and-coming acts. Performances spanned across several genres including R&B, Latin, pop/rock, indie, country and featured incredible sets from Taylor Acorn, Goldie Boutilier, Carmen DeLeon, adan diaz, Mckenna Grace, Sam Nelson Harris, Huddy, Natalie Jane, Treaty Oak Revival, Hayes Warner, WILLIS and more.
The BMI Lounge also hosted several BMI affiliates performing at Lollapaloooza over the weekend including Dasha, Kyle Dion, Chad Smith, sundial, Uncle Jumbo and more.
Goldie Boutilier is a Canadian singer/songwriter raised on the music of Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton. Her songs are notable for their cinematic quality and exploration of tragic romance, glamour, and melancholia, containing references to her small-town upbringing in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, with a nod to 1950s and 1960s Americana. Goldie made her first performance at age five using her family’s junkyard business as a rehearsal space and signed her first record deal with Interscope Records at the age of 21. Influenced by her Cape Breton roots, the creative process behind her upcoming album, The
Actress, was a departure from her previous releases, and one that sent her on a journey of honesty, purity, vulnerability, and a healing return to herself.

Brenn! is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Tuscaloosa Alabama who found his affinity for music in high school after being asked to join a friend’s band. In 2022, after leaving the band to focus on his own music, Brenn! signed to Fourward and went to Nashville for his first ever session and left with his next single, “4Runner.” The song went on to do half a million streams on the first day and landed several major playlists, including the cover of Spotify’s Folk Pop. In 2024, Brenn! released his debut EP, embarked on a sold-out North American tour, as well as playing key festivals like Hangout Fest and Lollapalooza.

The Wolves of Glendale prove that humor and music can harmoniously coexist on stage. They have delivered five singles, including their hit “Olivia,” their debut single from 2022, followed up by “Vapin’ in Vegas,” “The Gym,” “Loud Ass Car” and “Just Give Me Cash.” The Wolves boast over 50,000 monthly listeners on Spotify with impressive streaming numbers and have also amassed over 50k and 125k followers on TikTok and Instagram, respectively, with those numbers climbing daily. Their self-titled debut album of all original music, produced by John Spiker (known for his work with Tenacious D) and Rian Lewis (notable for collaborations with Doja Cat and Ty Dolla $ign), dropped this January and is a celebration of their unique brand of comedy/rock-infused music.
Walter The Producer is a 20-year-old Brooklyn-based psychedelic indie rocker. Born and raised in Massachusetts, he began playing guitar and piano at 10 years old and by 13 he was producing his own beats. Praised for his refreshingly original sound that’s both authentic and infectious, Walter The Producer credits artists such as Anderson .Paak, Tame Impala, Steve Lacy, and Childish Gambino as major influences on his music. Ahead of his debut album, Walter The Producer released a string singles including “Souled,” “Velma,” and buzzy hit “Since September.” In July 2023, he released his debut album, No Substance Mixtape, which has been a launchpad for his career and landed him on an impressive number of personal playlists.
