Bounce TV, the first and only over-the-air broadcast network for African Americans, will bring Where Do We Go From Here? — the Baton Rouge town hall meeting being produced by Bounce TV affiliate WAFB-TV on the heels of the recent racially-related violence and police shootings — to viewers nationwide when it carries the event live, uninterrupted and commercial-free on Tues. Aug. 2 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Martin Luther King III, one of the founders of Bounce TV, will participate in the conversation, along with an invited audience representing a diverse and broad range of community and civic leaders. WAFB anchors Greg Meriwether and Lauren Westbrook will moderate the discussion, set to take place in Baton Rouge. WAFB-TV is a Raycom Media station.
Bounce TV is carrying Where Do We Go From Here? as part of its new wide-ranging initiative to encourage de-escalation training, in which it has teamed with The Root, the premier news, opinion and culture site for African-American influencers, to support the effort. The Root’s editorial outlining the call to action can be found by clicking here. People can stay connected with the initiative on social media by following Bounce TV’s official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts (@bouncetv) and by using the official hashtag, #CallJustice4Peace.
