Boys2Men will partner with local Georgia colleges and universities recruiters to host their first annual “Future Leaders” College and Career Fair, an event that will give local students a resource guide to a brighter future. This event will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 12pm to 4pm at The Lang Carson Community Center, 100 Flat Shoals Ave Atlanta, GA 30316”This event will bring together potential employers, college and military recruiters, job readiness facilitators, apprenticeship resources, community service organizations, Greek affiliations and more,” says – N. Jean Hudley Founder/CEOFuture Leaders College and Career Fair was created to encourage the youth to receive their high school diplomas in addition to continuing their education. This program will offer three students a $1,000 scholarship award. Each school in attendance will be asked to nominate three students based upon their GPA and community service activities. With Atlanta’s increasing drop-out rate and incarceration statistics, it is our goal to help the students explore the many options available to them upon completion of their secondary education. There will be resources and information on grants and scholarships for students who see college as a financial burden. We invite all grades 9th through 12th to attend, and we plan to service as many young people as possible.Along with all the invaluable information that will be available there will be some fun activities to engage the students and keep their interest, such as special guest appearances, door prizes, and raffles.
