Car Crash Victim Robbed and Shot by Man Posing as Good Samaritan

A car crash victim was robbed and shot by a man posing as a Good Samaritan. The man was injured in a crash and was approached by an unknown assailant who offered to help but robbed him at gunpoint and shot him.

A furniture store caught the entire incident on camera—the victim hit a U-Haul truck with his vehicle. A white van was shown on surveillance cameras creeping up shortly after the crash. A man clad in a hat, jacket, and dark polka-dot shorts exited his vehicle and seemed as if he wanted to help. Instead, he preyed on the auto accident victim.

“He’s headed for the door. the guy stops him right there, pulls the gun out,” said store owner Shaquita Calloway narrating the video. “You see him pulling the gun out? It’s in his hand. (He) closes the door like, ‘Uh-uh, give me that bag.”

A struggle then took place; the victim fled the scene, which caused the suspect to attack him. The victim survived the attack, and the suspect left in his van, said police.

“I was shocked. Shocked,” Calloway said.

The attack happened in front of Calloway’s business Shas’ Furniture and Mattress Outlet, where

Insurance will cover the damage done to her truck.  According to one of the store owners, the Detroit police have an idea of who the robber is.

“Obviously, you cannot count on the kindness of strangers or even accept the help of a good Samaritan nowadays because you see what happens,”

As of yet, no arrest has been made in this case.
