Caught on Camera: Fake Delivery Driver’s Fatal Attack on Romantic Rival (video)

A man, Donovan Carter, has been charged with the murder of Kenneth Cunningham Jr. in Cobb County. Police say Carter dressed as a delivery driver to lure Cunningham out of his apartment at the Harlow Apartments on Windy Hill Road. The incident took place on Wednesday morning, and Cunningham was shot five times.

Cunningham’s family had traveled from Chicago to celebrate his 40th birthday and became concerned when they lost contact with him. Authorities revealed that the shooting was driven by jealousy, as Cunningham was dating Carter’s ex-girlfriend. There was no actual delivery; the package was a ruse to get Cunningham outside.

Witnesses reported frantic scenes at a nearby Quick Trip gas station, where police began a massive manhunt involving multiple agencies, canines, drones, and flock cameras. Carter was eventually apprehended in Gwinnett County. He now faces multiple charges and is being held at the Cobb County Jail.

The swift coordination between Cobb and Gwinnett County police was instrumental in quickly solving this case, bringing some measure of relief to Cunningham’s grieving family, who are now left to plan his funeral.
