CHICAGO URBAN RADIO STATIONS SECOND “PUT THE GUNS DOWN” GROUP SIMULCAST THIS SUNDAY

Chicago’s Black radio stations are coming together again for its second of fourth group specials to address the citywide violence prevention initiative, “Put the Guns Down,” this Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM. Each participating radio station will have their personalities present for each commercial free broadcast. Listeners will be asked to call-in to share their experiences and offer solutions to the gun violence in our community during the program. For this second special on July 6th, Tony Sculfield of 107.5 WGCI- FM, Tone from the Hot Boyz of Power 92.3, Kenya Simone of Soul 106.3, Ramonski Luv of V103 and Che “Rhymefest” Smith of WVON 1690 AM will participate. ABC 7’s Evelyn Holmes will join the group and once again host this special.
Each station along with their entire radio groups are committed to coming together through a variety of ways to make a difference and spread the Put the Guns Down pledge, “I am Chicago and every life matters – One City, One Voice and One Message…Put the Guns Down!”
