KCRW Presents Chinatown Summer Nights With A Fresh Lineup Of Food, Art And Music

kcrwBilled as one of Los Angeles’ best summer events, Chinatown Summer Nights returns to iconic Los Angeles Chinatown for three incredible nights of immersive music, art, performances, food and more. The fourth annual Chinatown Summer Nights presented by the Chinatown Business Improvement District and KCRW 89.9 FM is part food event, part summer party and all fun. Adding upon the success of last year’s event, CSN is coming back for a total of three events through the summer on June 15 th, July 20 th and August 17 th from 5 p.m. to midnight. The June 15 th date coincides with Los Angeles Chinatown’s historic 75th Year Anniversary, which will be celebrated during Chinatown Summer Nights.Event producer Chinatown Business Improvement District will bring another unforgettable series to Chinatown, with DJs from acclaimed Los Angeles public radio station KCRW (89.9 FM and KCRW.com) providing the soundtrack. A unique component of Chinatown Summer Nights is its large outdoor dance floor where festival goers can dance all night long under the beautiful neon backdrop of Chinatown’s Central Plaza.In additional to the DJ/dance floor component, LA Weekly will present another installment of great music featuring a fresh crop of bands performing live on the LA Weekly music stage; Kevin Bronson of Buzzbands LA curates the lineup.Attendees will get a chance to taste the many culinary offerings of Chinatown through Iron Chef-style cooking competitions; eat at local restaurants serving authentic Chinese and Asian cuisine; enjoy curated local microbrews at the outdoor craft beer garden and nosh on LA’s best gourmet food trucks.These events are perfect for all ages, from hands-on cultural workshops to great shopping at the LA Craft Experience market, featuring local designers and artists, and at unique Chinatown shops and boutiques.This event is free and open to all ages.
