CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO CHICAGO LAUNCHES $1 MILLION PUBIC SERVICE CAMPAIGN URGING LISTENERS TO VOTE IN THE 2010 CONGRESSIONAL ELECTIONS

Earl Jones, President & Market Manager of Clear Channel Radio Chicago today announces a $1 Million Public Service Campaign urging listeners to register and vote in the 2010 Congressional Elections on November 2, 2010.
Through a series of on-air strategic messages from station personalities and community leaders, Clear Channel Radio Chicago’s 107.5 WGCI, 103.5 KISS-FM, 93.9 The Lite FM, V103, MEGA 95.5 and Inspiration 1390, will provide the Chicagoland community with detailed information on the voter registration process and the importance of voting in the mid-term elections.
“Our radio stations are the foundation of the Chicagoland community,””said Earl Jones, President & Market Manager of Clear Channel Radio Chicago. “We are committed to providing the community with the most comprehensive information available for the upcoming election.”

The public service campaign also will include the introduction of a dedicated community website, www.clearlyconnectedchicago.com, featuring voter registration information, voting procedures, voting locations, absentee ballot information, online polls, and station podcasts.
In addition, over the next six weeks select Clear Channel Radio Chicago stations will air special programming, including multiple roundtable discussions with various cand idates to further highlight the upcoming election season. The stations will conduct on-site voter registration at various events, live broadcasts from polling locations throughout the community, and heavy utilization of social media.
