Held at BMI’s Nashville office, the exclusive, invitation-only event will be hosted by Mike O’Neill (BMI President and CEO), Mike Steinberg (BMI Executive Vice President, Chief Revenue & Creative Officer), and Clay Bradley (BMI Nashville VP of Creative).

The evening will also feature the announcement of the Country Songwriter of the Year, Country Song of the Year, and Country Publisher of the Year, while celebrating the top songwriters and music publishers behind the 50 most-performed songs in Country music.

“Clint Black’s career has set a new standard for storytelling in Country music, making him a true trailblazer in the genre,” said Clay Bradley. “He continues to leave an indelible mark on the music industry with his timeless songwriting that resonates across generations.”

Since joining BMI in 1993, Clint Black has written 22 No. 1 singles, all of which he contributed to. His debut album, Killin’ Time (1989), produced five consecutive No. 1 hits, which marked the beginning of a long and successful career. Over the years, Black has sold more than 20 million albums and earned various accolades, including multiple Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, GRAMMYs, and American Music Awards.

In addition to his music career, Clint Black has made appearances in film and television, showcasing his versatility as an entertainer. Black is joining an illustrious list of past BMI Icons, including legends such as Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and Merle Haggard, as well as multi-genre icons like Stevie Nicks, Carole King, and James Brown.

The BMI Icon Award is reserved for songwriters whose music has made a lasting impact on generations of music makers, cementing their legacy in the industry.
