CMG Jacksonville Hosts "Healing After Domestic Violence" Forum & Dinner

According to Elroy Smith, Branding & Programming Director,“This is such a personal, sensitive, and emotional subject matter to tackle as a radio station. However, if we proclaim to be the station for the people in Jacksonville & Duval County, we must address life issues that affect our listeners. If we can impact one person who is internally crying to be rescued from abuse, we have done our job.”

Domestic violence is best understood as a pattern of abusive behaviors–including physical, sexual, and psychological attacks. Approximately 10.5 million women and men are abused in a year by an intimate partner in the United States. Power 106.1 and Hot 106.5’s ‘Healing After Domestic Violence’ will feature survivors who have emerged from abusive relationships and experts who will answer questions from attendees.

This forum will occur at Cox Media Group-Jacksonville facility, 11700 Central Pkwy Jacksonville, Florida 32224. Light food will be provided. The event is free, but seats are limited and based on availability. Please RSVP at Power1061.com or Hot1065fm.com.
