Cox Media Group (CMG) San Antonio Radio has announced that Erik “with a K” and Jenny Lee will take over the morning show on Y100/KCYY, starting Monday, May 5. They are stepping in to fill the spot left by the previous show, which ended in December.
“I’ve been listening to this station from all over Texas for years, and it’s such an honor to finally be here,” said Erik. “Y100 is one of the biggest country music radio brands in the country, and I’m excited to immerse myself in the rich culture and tight-knit community that makes San Antonio so special. Plus, I get to work with an amazing co-host who loves giving back and has a great sense of humor.”
Jenny added, “After more than a decade in San Antonio radio, I’m so excited to join the Y100 morning show! Y100 is a legendary brand, and I’m truly honored to be joining their incredible team. Erik and I may not be able to fix the Loop 410 traffic, but we’ll definitely bring the energy and laughs to your morning drive!”
Erik spent the last three years waking up Houston listeners as part of The Morning Bullpen, while Jenny has spent the past 11 years hosting mornings for Y100’s sister station, KSMG.
Christi Brooks, Director of Branding and Programming for KCYY, shared, “I’ve been a fan of Erik’s work for years. His creativity and energy are unmatched. When his time in Houston ended, I knew he was the perfect fit to help create something fresh and exciting at Y100. As for Jenny, I’ve witnessed firsthand how San Antonio listeners connect with her authenticity and warmth. Her dedication to radio is only surpassed by her commitment to the community through her incredible volunteer work. We are beyond thrilled to welcome Erik and Jenny to the Y100 family.”
