Since launching EZMNY Records, Ty and Barron have demonstrated a keen eye for talent, notably signing breakout artist Leon Thomas (EZMNY/Motown Records). EZMNY’s roster also includes rising artists Bizzy Crook, rjtheweirdo, Saige Michael, and Keith Turner.

“This partnership with Create Music Group is a new chapter for EZMNY Records,” said Barron. “Ty and I have always prioritized an artist-first vision, and this collaboration with Create—whose team shares our values—will help us build something truly special for our roster.”

Create Music Group’s CEO and founder Jonathan Strauss praised the partnership, saying, “Shawn and Ty are incredible entrepreneurs with a remarkable history of shaping popular music. Their instincts and influence continue to drive the culture forward.”

Steeven Leblanc, Director of Business Development at Create, echoed the enthusiasm: “Working with visionaries like Shawn and Ty fits perfectly with our mission. They understand both the creative and business sides of the industry, and we’re excited to help amplify their vision and elevate their artists to the next level.”

Founded in 2015, Create Music Group has emerged as a major force in the music industry, representing a wide and diverse roster of prominent Hip Hop and R&B artists. The company has worked with Ye & Ty Dolla $ign, DeeBaby, Keri Hilson, DDG, Blxst, Bino Rideaux, Rich The Kid, Tink, Erica Banks, Travis Porter, Jaylen Brown, Miles Bridges, October London, Calboy, ALLBLACK, and many others.

“This partnership with Create was the natural next step,” said Helen Yu, Head of Business Affairs and General Counsel for EZMNY. “Both companies have built strong track records, and this deal is about combining that success to create something even bigger.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Create Music Group’s recent $165 million investment round led by private equity firm Flexpoint Ford, which valued the company at over $1 billion.
