His final studio album, titled Last of My Kind: The Final Journey, is slated for release on February 6, 2026, and aims to encapsulate his extensive career.
As a founding member of influential groups like South Central Cartel, Havoc & Prodeje, and Murder Squad, DA GAIMCHNG3R helped pave the way for West Coast rap, becoming part of the first group from the region to sign with Def Jam Records. He comes from a musical lineage as the son of Robert ‘Squirrel’ Lester, a celebrated member of the soul group The Chi-Lites, which adds to his rich musical heritage.
